Firebox® Management: Logging and Notification

The WatchGuard® Firebox® System supports multiple levels of logging and notification. For each service configured, separate rules may be set for incoming and outgoing communications. Logs from multiple sites can be combined and securely distributed to a central location using 3DES encryption. Under each rule, logging and notification may be configured for packets that are allowed or denied. Logged events can be configured to invoke several types of notification, including:

• Sending e-mail to a specified administrator
• Dialing a pager
• Opening a window on your management system
• Launching a custom program
